- Crawling – he is getting very fast! When I went to pick him up yesterday he zoomed across the room and literally threw himself into my arms! I love it!
- Cruising – when bribed with something like Mommy’s lap or an Elmo book, he’ll make his way from one end of the sofa to the other, holding on for support.
- Trying to get up – when he’s moving around on the floor, he’ll often try to get up on his hands and feet only, no knees. He hasn’t quite figured out what to do from here yet, but it’s clear he’ll be on his way shortly
- Misses his Mommy – he has long recognized me upon my return (see above, really, one of the most gratifying parts of being a mom at this stage) but he’s now started to notice when I leave. And so begins the difficult stage of drop off drama – phase 1.
- Says Dadadada? Maybe, its hard to say for sure, but he has certainly kicked it up a notch with his babbling and despite my best efforts, we hear a lot of Dadadada… I am pretty sure more often when Matt is around.
- Teeth – he’s got 4, three on the bottom (middle plus one to the right) and one off center somewhere on the top
- Eating – he was doing great with new foods and had added cheese and cheerios to his repertoire… but he’s been having diarrhea for going on three weeks. We’ve cut back to just the basics and are trying to rule out a sensitivity to his formula. He seems fine otherwise, so thankfully he’s at school, but we’ve tested for anything we can test for and we are all mystified.
- Despite all his numerous illnesses this past winter, he is thriving physically also. You can see from the pictures that he is a robust looking little guy and does not appear sickly. He’s also generally very happy and easy going. As I suspected, his 9 month stats were very similar to Norah’s at year – 30.5” and 19.6 lbs… putting him a little on the tall side and a little on the skinny side.

Roddie Report: 9 Months!
Roddie passed the 9 month mark recently, and I’m a tad overdue to update the family archives here on the Beantown Bugle. He’s a fine example of 9 month behavior as he tries to climb up on everything (and everyone!) Other highlights include:
