As you may know, I've been anxious for Roddie to start talking. Until recently, I've been mildly concerned about the rate at which is vocabulary has been growing (that is to say, it wasn't) However, things have really started picking up since Christmas with the addition of such standards as "dog", "bowl", "mine" and "more". We've also heard "Angelina" (Norah's ballerina), and "Barnie Backhoe" (character in a book) once or twice, but not on a regular basis. It sometimes seems like he will repeat a new word a bunch of times in a short time frame, and then that's it - maybe he's just filing it away for later? I dunno
Anyway, Friday, as we were getting ready to head out, he was holding onto his football... he said "Ma, Ma, Ma!" until I looked over and hen said "football!" and tossed it across the kitchen! It was sooo cute! He did it over and over again (no doubt due to my reaction!) Naturally it took all weekend for him to say it again... just in time for the Superbowl!
